We are happy to report that as of October 1, The Cambodia Academy was reopened with new hygiene and social distancing requirements. We send our great thanks to Dr. Hang Chuon Naron and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport for permission to reopen. We also thank Soviet Miech, Dara Pei, Sa Sok, and the entire faculty and staff for their diligence in preparing the campus to ensure the safety of our students.
Due to the pandemic, we are not able to offer bus service yet and we are not cleared to reopen the cafeteria. Even so, it is wonderful to see the students back on campus and getting back to learning.
We believe we will get the all-clear to start bus service in November.
We also put up a new and improved school sign on highway 5. The old one was worn out, and the new one is much sturdier and is visible from both directions, whether you are arriving from Battambang or from Sisophon!
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank our supporters for your continued contributions and concern. We have a lot of work in front of us to keep the school running safely under the new regulations, and your donations have never been more important. We'll post photos and updates here as we have them.
