Student Health Support: Wellness for Everyone
We work closely with the provincial health department to support the health and wellbeing of our 375 students. This includes coordinating routine vaccinations and providing albendazole treatments to protect against common parasitic worm infections that affect many children in rural Cambodia. When students require hospitalization, we ensure they receive prompt medical care and we provide the family with lost wage assistance.
In 2023, we installed a reverse osmosis water system on campus to provide safe, clean drinking water and reduce the risk of waterborne illness. The system also helps us significantly cut down on single-use plastic bottles, supporting both student health and environmental responsibility.
We routinely provide CPR training and education on dengue fever prevention. Dengue is endemic in Cambodia and poses a significant health risk, particularly during the rainy season when mosquito populations increase. Through education about mosquito control, recognizing early symptoms, and when to seek medical care, we help students and families better protect themselves and respond quickly if illness occurs.
